An inquest into the death of a worker who died last year whilst working on the Crossrail project has opened this morning.
René Tkacik, 44, who died on 7 March after he was hit by a section of freshly applied shotcrete at Crossrail’s Fisher Street site.
He died as he sprayed concrete through a hose - known as "shotcreting" - used by Crossrail contractors.
A silent vigil was held outside the Coroners Court this morning.
The unlicensed events unfolded on Saturday night at Clapham Common and Tooting Bec Common.
