Cyclist killed in collision with a truck
A 25-year-old cyclist has been killed in a collision with a truck in Bloomsbury Square in London.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after the woman died at Vernon Place yesterday evening.
Emergency crews were called at approximately 9.20pm. The London Air Ambulance attended and the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are in the process of informing the woman's family. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Two cyclists have already been killed on London's roads since the start of 2015.
34-year-old Akis Kollaros died after a collision on Homerton High Street on 2nd February and 29-year-old Stephanie Turner died after she was critically injured in a collision in Amhurst Park in January.
