Anti-nuclear activists march against Trident
Anti-nuclear activists called on the government to "wrap up" the Trident nuclear missiles programme during a protest in central London today.
he group wrapped a huge pink-coloured scarf, around the Ministry of Defence building.
Protestors held "A&E not WMD" and"Books Not Bombs" signs and also carried fake bins of radioactive waste.
The protest came just days after a debate in the Commons on the future of Trident.
Only 37 MPs backed a motion calling on the Government to not renew Trident, which protestors said showed the "gulf" between politicians and the public.
