London Fire Brigade said they were called just after 6pm and sent teams to the scene before the station was evacuated and closed.

Passengers posted videos of the fire on Twitter showing sparks flying from the rails as the train pulled into the station. The fire was on a Southeastern service and looks to have been caused by an electrical box.

No one was injured in the incident but all lines in and out of the station are blocked and National Rail say they are expecting delays to continue until at least 7.30 this evening.
