Lord Mayor's Show takes place in the capital
It's the 799th Lord Mayor's show today - with a huge parade taking place on the capital's streets to celebrate a new Lord Mayor being sworn in for the next year
New Lord Mayor blessed at St Paul's
The new Lord Mayor, Alan Yarrow, has been blessed at St Paul's Cathedral as part of the Lord Mayor's Show - which sees him riding through the City's streets in a golden carriage to celebrate taking over as the head of the City of London Corporation for the next year.
The golden carriage is at the end of a huge parade which has been working its way through the city this afternoon - and will culminate in a fireworks display at 5.15pm.
