Juan Mata is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday before completing his club record transfer to Manchester United.
Mohamed Salah set to replace Mata at Chelsea
Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is set to join Chelsea as Juan Mata edges nearer to completing his move to Manchester United.
Salah, who currently plays for Swiss champions Basel, is yet to undergo a medical or agree personal terms but the clubs have agreed a fee.
The attacking midfielder, 21, scored against Chelsea in both Champions League matches this season.
"The first step was an agreement with the club. That situation is done, no more discussions, everything is signed and done subject to the medical, that we didn't have yet and subject to the player's desire to join us or not," Jose Mourinho said.
"Now we know he wants to come."
