Juan Mata is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday before completing his club record transfer to Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho confirms Juan Mata set to join Man Utd
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Spanish midfielder Juan Mata is on the verge of joining Manchester United.
Mourinho said the offer, believed to be in the region of £37 million, was fantastic when compared to the fee the club paid to sign Mata in 2011.
Mourinho added: "The player deserves respect and to play and because the offer is right, we allowed him to negotiate."
"When the offer came whether he really was happy to go and he said 'yes, I am really happy to go'."
