New Lord Mayor's first banquet

Fiona Woolf will host her first Lord Mayor's Banquet tonight, after taking up the ceremonial post last week.

Hundreds lined the streets on Saturday in the rain for the Lord Mayor's Procession.

The banquet is traditionally held at the Guildhall in honour of the outgoing Lord Mayor. It is often an occasion for the Prime Minister to make a major World Affairs speech.
