Man arrested over National Gallery protest

A man's been arrested, following an incident at the National Gallery, in which a photograph was glued to a 19th Century masterpiece.

A four-inch picture of a young boy was glued to Constable's The Hay Wain, but the gallery says that no lasting damage has been done to the painting.

It's thought the protester may have been linked to campaign group Fathers4Justice, which has announced that it is abandoning its five-year "attempted engagement with the political establishment".

It has called on fathers to take "independent weekly direct action" in the spirit of the Suffragettes 100 years ago.

The picture is expected to go back on display this evening.
