London comedian charged after pitch invasion incident

A London comedian who is accused of trespassing onto a football pitch and trying to warm up with the Manchester City team has been charged.

Simon Brodkin, who has his own BBC TV show, is accused of encroaching onto Everton's Goodison park pitch before yesterdays Premier League clash between the two sides.

He'll appear at Liverpool Community Justice Centre on April 3rd.

The BBC press office say Mr Brodkin was not filming for them when the incident took place.
