Woman to run London Marathon solo

A week after she'd been due to run the New York marathon, 35 year old Marsha Shandur will self-navigate the London marathon route. The New York marathon - which was due to be held last weekend - was cancelled after superstorm Sandy hit the east coast of the US.

Ms Shandur will complete the 26 mile challenge to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Hospital's cancer charity.
