The Border Agency has ordered squatters to leave their makeshift homes.

Dozens set up camp on a disused football ground in Hendon, claiming they had nowhere else to go.

Now they're being offered flights back home to Romania.

Immigrant 'shanty town' raided

Officers from the police and the UK Border Agency have carried out a raid this morning at an illegal camp of Romanian immigrants in North London.

More than 60 people had moved onto the site which used to be the home of Hendon football club. Rags Martel sent this report from the scene.

Immigrants removed from make-shift home in Hendon

A group of immigrants have been evicted from a 'shanty town' they made at a disused football ground in North West London.

68 people were reportedly removed from the site when Police and Home Office Immigration Enforcement entered at 5am this morning.

Police entered the site at 5am this morning

Many of them, who are here illegally, were offered a free flight back home. 20 of them have accepted the offer so far and will be flown back to Romania.

They had been living in shacks constructed from scrap from the demolished football stands and other rubbish left .
