Thousands watch Passion of Jesus performance in Trafalgar Square

Thousands of people gathered in Trafalgar Square this afternoon to watch a free performance of the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday.

The biblical story was brought to life by 100 actors and live animals including horses, donkeys and doves. Crowds gathered this afternoon for two separate 90-minute performances, which marked the eighth annual showing of the biblical story at the tourist hotspot.
