Hundreds party on Hampstead Heath for George Michael
Hundreds of people celebrated the career of pop legend George Michael with a party on Hampstead Heath.
The event was designed to celebrate all aspects of the star's life including his outing as a gay man after being arrested in a public toilet.
Hampstead Heath is the capital's best-known 'cruising' area where people meet for anonymous outdoor sex.
The celebration was organised by Queer Tours London and the Camden LGBT Forum. one of the organisers, Dan Glass, said that he had wanted to celebrate the singer's life ever since he heard about his death on Christmas Day.
"His songs were all about life and freedom," said one of the organisers Dan Glass. "I would have hoped George would have absolutely loved it."
