Injuries hit West Ham hardest in 2016/17 season
West Ham have been revealed as the worst hit team for working days lost as a result of injuries.
The season is only midway through and already the Hammers have lost over 1,000 working days due to player injuries.
West Ham’s manager Slaven Bilic has been made to rue these setbacks with fans becoming increasingly frustrated over the lack of options upfront and at right back.
Bilic has looked to solve the injury crisis by signing Robert Snodgrass from Hull City last week for £10m.
Working days lost as a result of injuries:
West Ham - 1130
Crystal Palace - 869
Arsenal - 776
Watford - 630
Chelsea - 407
Tottenham - 390
The research conducted by JLT Speciality estimated the financial cost of injuries to Premier League teams at a whopping £79m, based on average wages for each team.
