Trains in south east London have been delayed by a 'trapped squirrel' Southeastern trains said.
The bizarre revelation came as the rail company warned of delays during rush hour, warning that Orpington services would be affected.
Just after 8.15am, Southeastern tweeted: "Trains from Orpington may be delayed due to a pet squirrel being stuck behind a grill on a train.”
The tweet came with a photo of a squirrel standing up with words: “I tried coming up with a squirrel pun but everything I thought of was nuts.”
