Investigation launched after double-decker bus catches fire

An investigation has been launched after a double-decker bus burst into flames in central London.

It happened in Bishopsgate which had to be cordoned off while the fire was put out.

In footage taken at the scene, smoke could be seen billowing from the number 26 hybrid bus followed by a loud bang.

Transport for London said there were delays and a diversion was in place.
