Scores of gravestones desecrated in 'appalling' vandalism at west London cemetery
Scores of gravestones have been desecrated in what has been described as an 'appalling' act of vandalism at a west London cemetery.
Headstones were damaged at the Hammersmith and Fulham Council-run North Sheen Cemetery.
The police are currently investigating the incident and have had a scenes of crime officer at site taking finger prints from the memorials affected.
Family and friends have spoken of their "devastation" over the damage.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council has arranged for a memorial mason to attend site this week with a view to re-setting those memorials pushed over and repair those that were damaged.
