Mother of teenager stabbed to death accuses CPS of failing her and her son
The mother of a teenager stabbed to death near his home has accused the CPS of failing her and her son, after charges against the school boys accused of his murder were dropped.
Sharon Fearon also claims her other son received a threatening phone call the day after one of the accused boys was released from prison.
Shaquan Fearon was fatally stabbed as he walked to the youth centre in Turnham road with a friend in September last year. CCTV footage played to the jury showed him being chased to a block of flats in Bromley where he was attacked.
Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, stood trial for his murder twice but on both occasions the jury failed to reach a verdict.
Another trial had to be abandoned because one of the defendants had to find a new barrister.
The CPS has decided to drop the case but Shaquan's mother has dismissed a letter sent to her by the organisation as "disrespectful".
