Fireball engulfs van in central London

A huge fireball has engulfed a van in central London, with a thick plume of smoke rising and the petrol tank reportedly "exploding".

Firefighters fought to put out the blaze, as captured by Martina O'Shea.

There is heavy traffic in and around Euston Road underpass as the scene is made safe and the van removed.

One lane on the eastbound stretch reopened at around 2pm, with long delays back past Marylebone Flyover onto A40 Westway.
