Fire breaks out at recycling plant in Leyton

A fire broke out last night at a recycling plant in Leyton.

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters were called to the recycling plant on Church Road at 12.28am. Approximately 15 tonnes of rubbish were damaged in the blaze. The fire was under control by 3.30am.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental and there have been no reports of injuries.

Crews from Leyton, Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Homerton and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene.
