Brand new £200,000 supercar wrecked after driver crashes into a tree
A driver has been left counting the cost after crashing a £200,000 supercar within minutes of taking delivery of it.
Neighbours saw the new owner of a McLaren 650S Spider celebrating as it was unloaded at his home.
But only moments later it was seen crashing into a tree on a nearby road in Hutton Poplars, Essex.
The front of the car was left in bits after it collided head on with a tree and the rear was damaged by a sign-post.
No one was injured and Essex police have appealed for information from anyone who may have witnessed the car being driven before the crash.
The McLaren 650S Spider can cost over £215,000 new, can go from 0 to 62mph in just three seconds and has a top speed of 204mph.
No one has been arrested and enquiries are continuing to work out who was driving the car at the time.
Police are trying to trace a woman who approached the driver and passenger immediately after the crash to see if they were injured to help with their enquiries.
