Woman killed after being hit by lorry in Westminster

A woman has died after being hit by a lorry in Westminster.

Police are investigating after the female pedestrian was knocked down in Wigmore Street at the junction with Wellbeck Street at around 2.20pm this afternoon.

She was pronounced dead just 10 minutes later.

Next of kin have yet to be informed and a post-mortem will be held in due course. No arrests have been made.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit want anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact them on 101.
