A chance to sleep with the lions at London Zoo starting at £378 per night

London zoo is offering an unusual experience of sleeping within a whisker of the Lions.

The Gir Lion Lodge guest houses will be part of the £5.7 million 'Land of the Lions Development'.

The expansion of the lion habitat is part of the Asiatic lions campaign as the species faces extinction with approximately 500 left in the wild.

The campaign aims to raise the funds for the new state-of-the-art Asiatic lion hub as part of ongoing conservation work.

Tickets to stay the night launched today, are starting at £378 per couple per night.

The lodges are inspired by the lions native Gir Forest in India.
