Taxi driver crashes into Heathrow Terminal 5 'after suffering heart attack'

A taxi driver has crashed into Heathrow's Terminal 5 after suffering a heart attack.

An airport spokeswoman says emergency services were called to the scene, and a lane of traffic was closed off.

The London Ambulance Service says the man, believed to be in his 60s, was in cardiac arrest and rushed to the Hillingdon Hospital.

The incident added to the commuter chaos this morning caused by the thick fog blanketing the capital.

Several flights were cancelled or diverted because of the heavy cloud cover.
