English rugby union player Sam Stanley comes out as gay

Sam Stanley has become the first English professional rugby union player to come out as gay.

In his first TV interview about his revelations, he spoke to ITV News, admitting he had contemplated suicide before coming out.

The 23-year-old hopes coming out will inspire others to come out of the closet.
