72-year-old in critical condition after pub fight spills into the street

A man in his 70s is in critical condition after a fight broke out in a Camden pub just before closing time.

The 72-year-old remains in hospital with serious head injuries after the fight last night outside the North Star pub in Finchley Road, Swiss Cottage.

A second man in his 40s, believed to be the pub landlord, was also taken to hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Finchley Road southbound is down to one lane and part of the pavement is closed.
