A hand-stitched copy of the Wikipedia entry of the Magna Carta, measuring 13 metres long, is on display at the British Library.

The work, conceived by British artist Cornelia Parker, was sewn by 200 people across the UK. It was printed on to fabric which was then divided into 87 sections and sent around the country. Parker said:

The bulk of the text was sewn by prisoners while the pictures were completed by members of the Embroiderers' Guild.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange embroidered the word "freedom", whilst Jarvis Cocker stitched the words "Common People".

Fugitive US intelligence officer Edward Snowden embroidered the word "Liberty" from Moscow.
