Thousands protest in London for an end to sexual violence
Thousand of people travelled from across the country to join the One Billion Rising march at Marble Arch today, campaigning for an end to sexual violence against women.
The campaign is named after the statistic that one in three women across the world will be a victim of sexual violence in her lifetime - which is one billion women overall.
Organisers said more than 2000 people joined the Valentine's Day protest at Marble Arch - which is one of 200 demonstrations taking place across the world.
Protestors were joined by Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper - who said it was time for a change in the law on violence against women.
