For Arsenal, a week really is a long time in football.

After losing 3-2 at Stoke on December 6th the pressure was very much on Arsene Wenger.

His side seemingly plummeting to mid table and the fans growing restless.

Fast forward eight days - and eight goals later (including four against Newcastle on Saturday) - and they're one win off the top four, Wenger's name is being sung at the Emirates and now they have been given the ideal Champions League draw: Monaco.

The Gunners have successfully avoided the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona and subsequently have a great chance of reaching the quarter finals.

Arsenal finished second in their Champions League group and were exposed to facing the very toughest sides in the round of 16.

Monaco is one of Arsense Wenger's former clubs - he managed there for seven years.

He'll be confident he'll leave the principality with more than just happy memories.

Chelsea's draw against Paris St-Germain is a replay of last year's quarter final when Chelsea scraped through on away goals.

Considering Chelsea won their group they couldn't have picked a much tougher opponent than the current French champions.

But a large Chelsea following will make the short journey to the French capital and Jose Mourinho's team have little reason to fear many teams this season.
