Essex shopkeeper recreates Nativity scene with Henry The Hoover

Christmas shoppers have been stopped in their tracks by a bizarre nativity scene with vacuum cleaners playing the part of Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus.

The festive display, which also features three wise men, appeared in the front window of an electrical appliance store at Westcliff-on-Sea in Essex.

The main characters are all played by different coloured models of 'Henry the Hoover'.

Shop owner Kris Sale said the idea came from his 16-year-old son Ashley.
