Disruption at one of the Tube's busiest stations for most of 2015
Passengers using one of the busiest stations on the London Underground will face face disruption throughout nearly all of next year.
From January 3 until early December, Central line trains will not stop at Tottenham Court Road.
Passengers using Northern line trains will still be able to get on and off at the station which is undergoing a £1 billion transformation ahead of becoming one of the stations on the £14.8 billion Crossrail project, which starts in 2018.
The news of the part-closure at Tottenham Court Road coincided with Transport for London announcing that the junction of Charing Cross Road by the Centre Point building has been opened to traffic and pedestrians after being closed for four years due to work at the station.
