One lucky Arsenal fan received a surprise gift from the club's mascot during his school assembly today.

Nine-year-old Ollie Borowski was astonished as Gunnersaurus revealed that he had won the chance to be a mascot for Arsenal's FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic later this month.

Ollie will have the chance to meet the Arsenal team in the dressing room at Wembley before he leads the team onto the pitch.

Ollie, who was randomly selected from 30,000 Junior Gunners to win, said he was left completely surprised when he saw his name pop up during the assembly at Raglan junior school in Enfield.

The nine-year-old's father Rob said it had been very difficult to keep the surprise under wraps from his son especially during Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Saturday.

Mr Borowski said he managed to withstand the temptation to reveal all to his son for nearly a week.

"During the course of the week, we made plans with Arsenal football club and today at the school we were all getting organised before the assembly and then Gunnersaurus made a surprise entrance and all the kids went absolutely mad," he added.

"The joy on Oliver's face - I'll never forget that. "
