Detectives have named a man wanted over a shooting at a 10-year-old girl's birthday party.

Alfie Gannon, 20, is being hunted by officers from Scotland Yard after a man was shot in the leg in front of his terrified seven-year-old stepson in Bromley, in south-east London on May 18.

It is claimed that Gannon had an argument with the victim's brother during the party at a house in Ravenscar Road, and threatened to kill him when he was asked to leave.

He allegedly returned more than five hours later and confronted the 22-year-old victim, shooting him with a semi-automatic pistol. The man has since made a full recovery.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach Gannon, who it is believed has links to West Yorkshire.

Anyone with information can call police on 020 8785 8580 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.
