The Post Office has opened its first ever temporary 'pop-up' shop to help deal with extra Christmas mail.

The temporary office is in Camden Market and will be open seven days a week until Christmas Eve. The Post Office says it will consider opening more of the pop-up offices in future. Stewart Fox Mills from the Post Office explains:

Christmas Post information:

  • Last posting dates for Christmas are Tuesday, 18 December, for second class, Thursday, 20 December, for first class and Saturday 22, December for special delivery.

  • There will be no post collections or deliveries on the Bank Holidays over Christmas.

  • The Post Office aims to get items weighing up to 20kg delivered within 3-5 days. Express deliveries are most expensive - see the Post Office website for more information.

  • The cost of a first class stamp is 60p. Second class in 50p.
