Hundreds of demonstrators have gathered in Westminster to protest against the presence of the Sri Lankan president.

The protestors are from a Tamil rights group which accuses the leader of presiding over human rights abuses in the country.

This afternoon's demonstration is outside Marlborough House where the Queen is hosting a commonwealth lunch to mark her Diamond Jubilee, but demonstrators had earlier gathered outside the Mansion House in the City of London.

From there, Glen Goodman sent this report.
