Statue unveiled in Widnes to remember WW1 pilot

On the day the RAF marks its one hundredth anniversary, a statue has been unveiled in Widnes to a young pilot from the town who was awarded a posthumous Victoria cross for his actions during the first world war.

At the time of his death Thomas Mottershead was described as one of the bravest men who had ever fallen in the war. Ralph Blunsom reports.
