23-month-old Alfie Evans has constant seizures. His parents want to take him to Rome for treatment - but doctors say it's not in his best interests.

Alfie's father reacts after losing legal battle.

The parents of little Alfie Evans have been reacting after they lost a legal battle to stop doctors at Liverpool's Alder Hey Hospital switching off his life support. They're now considering taking their case to the Supreme Court.

The Court of Appeal has upheld the judgement from the High Court that continued active treatment is not in Alfie’s best interest.

We understand that this is a very difficult time for Alfie’s family and we will continue to work with them to agree the most appropriate palliative care plan for Alfie.
