There have been calls for a public inquiry into the prescription of legal drugs that could be as addictive as cocaine and heroin.

It is claimed that millions of people are dependant on medication that should only be taken short term.

There is now a campaign to urge GPs to limit their use and look at better way of supporting patients than just giving out pills.

The advice is don't just stop, but get medical advice on a proper withdrawal.
