Body found in Ashton-under-Lyne

Police are investigating after the body of a man was found in Ashton.

Just before 2pm today, police were called to Penny Meadow in Ashton-under-Lyne following reports that a man’s body had been found.

Officers attended and the man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The investigation is in its early stages and is on-going.
