Residents organise solidarity walk through Levenshulme park following rape

Community members in Levenshulme have staged a show of solidarity after a woman was raped in a park in a daylight attack. They say they want people to be able to enjoy public spaces without fear. The 31-year-old was assaulted as she walked through Cringle Park on Monday November 14. Police officers attended after the alarm was raised at midday and officers found the woman in distress.
