A man convicted of the ISIS-inspired murder of an Imam from Rochdale has been jailed for 24 years.
Manchester Crown Court heard Mohammed Syeedy took part in a plot to kill 71 year old Jalal Uddin, because he thought he was involved in black magic.
Throughout the four week trial, Syeedy denied helping a friend to carry out the hammer attack in February.
But a jury took just four hours to find him guilty. Matt O'Donoghue reports:
An ex-Manchester United steward has told a jury he did not suspect a known sympathiser of the so-called Islamic State murdered Jalal Uddin.
A former Manchester United steward accused of murdering an imam has told a jury he is not an IS supporter.
Mohammed Abdul Kadir, 24, is accused of the murder of Jalal Uddin, 71.
