Man airlifted to hospital after being found on fire in Rochdale

A man has been airlifted to hospital after being found on fire at a Frankie and Benny’s restaurant in Greater Manchester.

Emergency crews were called to a retail park in Rochdale at 11.15am.

Paramedics discovered a man who had suffered burns from the waist down.

He was rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital by air ambulance.

A spokesman for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed that medics were called to help a man this morning.

We were called to Sandbrook Park in Rochdale at 11.16pm to a patient who appeared to have burns.

They were taken by air ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital.
