Queuing ambulances at Royal Preston - but is the closure of Chorley A&E to blame?

This extraordinary picture of ambulances queuing up outside a hospital in Lancashire wasn't taken on a Friday or Saturday night.

It was taken outside the Royal Preston hospital yesterday afternoon.

Some are claiming it's a direct result of a decision to close the A and E department at the nearby Chorley Hospital three months ago.

But the trust say those allegations are unfounded. Our political correspondent Daniel Hewitt has more.
