Watch: Manchester Storm are back and have a new home in Altrincham
The Manchester Storm are back and have been thrilling crowds at their new home in Altrincham since last autumn.
The club enjoyed huge success in the late 1990s. They brought Ice Hockey to Manchester when they were formed in 1995, playing their games at the Manchester Arena. A high point came when the Storm sold the arena out, attracting more than 17,000 fans to a game with arch rivals the Sheffield Steelers.
By 2002 though, the club had run into difficulties, and they soon ceased to exist.
That was until last summer, when a spot became available in the Elite Ice Hockey League and the Manchester Storm were reborn.
Crowds have continued to grow, and the club had their first sell out of the new era on new year's day again against the Sheffield Steelers.
Ian Barber has been down to the rink to the club that's going down a Storm all over again.
