How's that for a dramatic paws! New canine stars on cobbles of Corrie

Coronation Street’s most famous pets have walked the cobbles to mark National Pet Month.

Ozzy, Eccles and Schmeichel delighted visitors to Coronation Street The Tour on the former Quay Street set.

And one of soap’s lesser-known secrets was revealed – Eccles the border terrier is actually a boy.

Eccles plays the Barlow family pet who was originally named Lady Freckles on the show. And he shares the role with Freckles who is female.
