Skrtel charged by FA over 'stamp' on De Gea

Martin Skrtel has been charged by The FA for violent conduct after he stamped on Manchester United's goalkeeper David de Gea in the 95th minute of their clash this weekend.

The incident was not seen by the referee but was caught on camera.

The panel judging the incident was unanimous in it's decision that it was a 'sending off offence' and that Skrtel should therefore be charged.

If found guilty he could face a three game ban , he has until 6pm on 24 March 2015 to respond to the charge.

During the same game Liverpool's Steven Gerrard was sent off after being on the pitch for just 30 seconds.
