Daughter awarded father's second world war medals
In 1941 a young sergeant in the RAF took off with his colleagues on a bombing mission over Berlin and never came back. Sgt Gerard Talbot was just 22 and looking forward to becoming a dad. Almost three quarters of a century on his daughter's been to a very special ceremony at Wigan Town Hall. Today Sgt Talbot was honoured as his daughter received the four medals he would've been awarded if he'd survived.
