Van fire on motorway leaves a man dead

Motorists are being advised to avoid part of the M60 after a fatal van fire on a slip-road. Just after 8.10pm this evening police were called to the slip-road at junction 1. Emergency services attended and found a van alight and a man trapped inside.
Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene. There are not thought to be any other vehicles involved or any reports of any other injuries. There are currently closures in place on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the motorway near to the scene.
