Fans to decide if Amir Khan faces Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather has asked his fans on Twitter if he should fight Amir Khan next.

The Bolton-born star signed a contract in December that put him in line for a possible super-fight, but he could also face Argentina's Marcos Maidana.

Khan, a former world champion and 2004 Olympic silver medallist, has been holding out for a lucrative clash with Mayweather since suffering a scare in his last fight - a dramatic points victory over Julio Diaz - in Sheffield last April.

Bolton's Khan has a 28-3 record as a professional, while Mayweather has won all 45 of his bouts, including victory over the previously undefeated Ricky Hatton in 2008.The 30-year-old Maidana, who Khan beat in 2011, has a 35-3 record.
